There are things that make certain movies scarier than others: today's common formula of JUMP SCENES^2(POORLY COMPOSED MUSIC)+BAD ACTING/NO PLOT is by far not it. This film uses a mix of piano and strings during terrifying camera angles and lighting.
To top that off, George C. Scott and cast make one FEEL the movie.
