Review of The Changeling (1980) by River E — 04 Mar 2009
My FAVOURITE ALL-TIME SCARY MOVIE!!! It seems so docile, but I had a grown man jump into my lap when he viewed it for the first time. The subtlety is what this film is all about- no gore, no blood, just plain old-fashioned, plausible terror. The ending takes a bit to swallow, but the ride is so much fun that no one minds.
Go Canadian Film Commission!
I saw this about a year after it was released- so I was about ten at the time. Never found a scary film I liked more.
