Cheesy and time weary in equal measure, "The Changeling" utilizes scare tactics that amount to creaking doors, flickering lights and hugely non-spooky and downright ridiculous ghost boy whispering. The good acting makes me hate this much less then I normally would, but since the point of horror movies are to be scary, I can't exactly say that this was a success by any measure. If you've been kept awake at night wondering whether the idea of a wheelchair chasing a woman around a house is particularly terrifying, well rest easy. It's not.
