Review of The Celluloid Closet (1996) by Bernard E — 30 May 2008
A fascinating look at the history of gays in film. I would love to see it updated to present day. Very interesting to see how gays began with the sissie character, then disappeared into subtext, turned into depressed psycho killers who always die, and then to victims.
Overall, great docu.
