Review of The Cell (2000) by Rei A — 30 Apr 2010
I don't understand all the people that seem to hate this movie. I'm awed each time I see it by the detailed and breathtaking visual work of Tarsem. I have not seen a better realized version of someone's personal dream worlds in filmmaking - anywhere.
As for the story - either you liked silence of the Lambs or you didn't. This is a fantasy film for those that did. I was a little underwhelmed with the script for "The Fall", but I believe that Tarsem is a unique talent, and I can't wait to see what he comes up with next.
