Review of The Cell (2000) by Ashley V — 10 Aug 2011
'The Cell' is by all accounts soporific. Lopez is without question unbearable to watch as she stumbles through sceneries attempting to act. Tarsem Singh likes large landscapes and worlds but not originality - most of the picture looks like a flimsy Marilyn Manson video.
The movie supports symbolic imagery only when it ditches its redundant visuals, which is not often.
