Review of The Cell 2 (2009) by Jeremy H — 12 Feb 2014
I think the filmmakers have a basic misunderstanding of what psychics do and what they are capable of. They can't jump into other people's minds and have duels of wizardry with them. In trying to transform a completely unrelated spec script into a Cell sequel, they muddle things beyond repair.
So it's no surprise the filmmakers run out of movie at about the one hour mark. The rest is tire spinning to get it up to feature length. A failed escape attempt by the kidnappee (which could have been cut entirely), 12 minutes of credits (I bullshit you not) and wildly inappropriate EPK footage inserted throughout the scroll.
