Review of The Caveman's Valentine (2001) by Call I — 28 May 2011
This engaging whodunit plays on audience expectations every chance it gets, constantly making you wonder what's real and what's only happening in the mind of its deranged protagonist. Samuel L.
Jackson turns in a surprisingly, for the subject-matter, nuanced performance. The writer and director treat mental illness with a degree of respect sorely lacking on most films. Highly recommended.
