Review of The Cave (2005) by Hellholehorror — 15 Feb 2022

I didn't like how shaky and fast the editing was. I thought that it hid too much and made it hard to tell what was going on. The shakiness was distracting. Other than that I guess that it was fine. There was nothing too exciting to look at.

The sound fields were creative and really well produced. I loved the use of the rear channels. Absolutely fantastic sound! This was just like Alien (1979) in a cave but without the suspense and awesomeness.

I had no care for the characters or what was unfolding. It was made for teenagers and thusly the horror is non-existent in what should be a horror movie. It was more like an action movie but without all the cool guns and car chases and helicopters and stuff.

Rather dull story and unoriginal shenanigans make this a very forgettable piece.
