Review of The Case for Christ (2017) by Nick L — 19 Apr 2017
The Case for Christ stars Mike Vogel and Erica Christensen. It is a true story that is based off a book about an atheist woman whose turns to Christianity after her daughters life is saved by a Christian woman. Her husband doesn't like her decision, so he sets himself out to prove Christianity wrong by analyzing the facts. Above some other Christian movies, this one doesn't 100% villainize atheists. All it was doing was following an atheist man who was gathering information on Jesus's death and resurrection, and this film had some fairly bold writing. It was almost entertaining to watch him gather data, other than that, there's not much else to say. The movie does get dull at times which is my biggest complaint. I truly think that this film is a sign that Christian movies are getting better.
Over all, it was good I guess, but wasn't good enough to be a well-noticed movie. 3/5 stars.
