Thoughts on The Canyons: James Deen steals the show. The writing, direction, music, cinematography are all top notch. Lindsay is the only downside and I'm not even sure she's THAT problematic. The best way I can describe her acting is.

.. distracted. She comes off a bit like the Courtney (Samantha Mathis) in American Psycho whose character was too high on mood altering drugs to ever be very coherent or for her affect to be in line with what's going on around her.

So far the critics are way off the mark and I have a feeling that the more people who see this, the more it will be thought of favorably, though sadly there isn't enough violence or humor to reach the cult classic status of American Psycho.
