Review of The Candidate (1972) by Josh C — 10 Aug 2008
Poignant political film that over 35 years later is still accurate. Redford and Boyle bring their A-game. What strikes me is how a satirical film is very realistic, unlike say Wag The Dog which is satirical but almost over the top.
This feels like a documentary at times. Very good film.
