Review of The Call of Cthulhu (2006) by John P — 12 Jun 2008
This is... This is actually pretty good, considering. That is no small miracle by Lovecraft-movie standards. Apparently the only way to accurately convey his strange, moody, over-the-top horror is by projecting his words directly onto the screen itself in the form of a silent movie.
Call of Cthulhu didn't have a big budget -- and it shows -- but it's got a big, pulsing, tentacled, black heart.
