Review of The Call (2013) by Henriett H — 09 Aug 2013
The content in this movie was maybe not original. However, I think half the praise a movie should be given is also for HOW it was presented. The intensity is unreal and much of that is due to the unique, wide angle, and macro shots the director and cinematographer decided on.
Some shots also became a bit uncomfortable at times, but that is the point. There were very few static shots, either dolly or shoulder mounted. Gave it an uneasy and hectic atmosphere. I also thought this film was very nicely lit.
I thoroughly enjoyed it to be honest. It was very much so visually pleasing.
