Review of The Caine Mutiny (1954) by John W — 28 Dec 2008
Bogart should not of won an oscar for The African Queen. If he had to only win one, it should've been this. He plays the nervous/paranoid captain of the Caine. His paranoia and strict attitude force the other officers to relieve him during a storm.
What I liked about this is how Bogart wants to make you like his character. You try, but then he would have another outburst. What I enjoyed about this is how the film is 3 films in one. Its an action, romantic and court drama film.
Yet the multiple points of view gets kind of annoying. This is a 3 star film made 4 because of yet another fantastic performance by the great Bogart.
