I am not sure whether to be pleased or creeped out by this movie. I was downright surprised of how GOOD this movie is! I mean, Joss Whedon and Drew Goddard took the most overrated horror concept and put a neat little twist in it.
Like Evil Dead and most horror movies these days, the film follows a group of idiots enter a cabin in the woods and they encounter a bunch of monsters. What they don't know is that, they are all being watched by a group of sick individuals that are basically causing all of these cliche horror elements.
Cabin in the Woods is definitely a must see for all horror fans out there. I mean sure the twist is there and IT IS nice, but the horror elements from other horror films are really well put together. I was surprised of how funny this film was! Seriously, from monsters to these sick scientist to these kids, I couldn't help, but laugh at the fact they are ALL making fun of horror movies despite being in a horror movie.
The dialogue is definitely Joss Whedon territory which is NOT a bad thing. Overall, I'd say go see this movie, 5/5 a definite must see.
