The Cabin In The Woods' writer director Drew Goddard has all the horror cliches in tact; the stereotypical characters, creepy setting and stylish villains, but the problem is he can't figure out what to do with them, and the end result is a plot-less, poorly conceived, illogical cliche which lives up to its title in the simplest way and plunges itself to the ground with a tries-to-save-itself celebrity guest cameo from Sigourney Weaver.
