If viewed as a horror/thriller film, this movie gets points based on pure gore and supposed plot twists. However the original films plot (Butterfly effect "1") was far more thought out and plausable as far as time travel theory goes.
This film trys too hard to scare and shock and falls short on concept, leaving too many holes in the story. Overall I would rate this film as an ok horror chick flick.
