Review of The Butterfly Effect (2004) by Michael W — 13 Mar 2013
When I was in college my first year philosophy class taught the class about The Butterfly Effect. The Butterfly effect theory is about order through chaos. Random insignificant events can have huge changes in the universe.
My professor explained If one gets off the bus a stop early he or she may get killed by being hit by a car. If one stops later he or she may stop at a store to buy a lotto ticket and become a millionaire.
A chain of events was started by one action. Evan Treborn can jump through time! Evan tries to fix the present by changing events in the past, and creates new problems. The viewers watch Evan repeat the same story over and over trying to fix the present.
Well written and directed story, which keeps the viewer enthralled and wondering what will happened next. I will not ruin the movie for you but the ending is memorable. Surprising Kutcher's preforms in a serious role.
The effect of the movie is four out of five stars.
