Review of The Butler (2013) by Tom H — 01 May 2014
It's high time that something like this found its way onto the screen. However, the history it is trying to capture is so complex, that 2 hours and 15 minutes just don't do it justice and, I fear, some of the events were omitted/adjusted/changed to fit the format.
In that sense, it is not thorough enough. Bottom line: Worth seeing, but go read a book about those years afterwards.
