Review of The Butcher Boy (1998) by Mika S — 28 Sep 2008
Neil Jordan's best work in my book and it contains easily one of the best performances from a child actor I've ever seen thanks to the very entertaining and convincing Eamonn Owens. Part-comedy, part-drama, and a bit of horror here and there, The Butcher Boy is brilliant examination of one lad's coming-of-age.
As young Francie Brady would say, "Amazing facts!".
