Review of The Business of Being Born (2008) by Larkin H — 23 Jun 2008
A thought provoking documentary that's also very one-sided. Basically, there's an agenda, which is excusable. Most documentaries have an agenda...if they didn't, the filmmaker wouldn't have the passion for making it.
I can liken this Doc to Sicko in that it depicts the healthcare industry as unsympathetic cretins only worried about the bottom line and filling/emptying beds. I concur. Word of warning: Ricki Lake(exec.
Producer) is shown giving birth :0.
