Review of The Business of Being Born (2008) by Bjorn S — 01 Dec 2012
Here's the thing... this movie was clearly set up to present a point of view and the interviews were set up to reinforce that view. I found it slightly heavy handed in the effort and attempt to sway me. Watching this with my Dr. wife was also very interesting and she pointed out both what was true and what was debatable. There could have been more female doctors interviewed, instead of male doctors, which set up the narrative a little too overtly in favor of the home-birth camp.
As my Dr. wife pointed out, if your water breaks in the Taxi, you are doing it wrong.
