Tom Hanks in his flop period, this film hopes to be either A) Dark Comedy B) Horror C) Satire D) Slapstick Comedy. Despite being directed by horror-comedy king Joe Dante, the film never really becomes any of the above, and as a result leaves the viewer baffled.
