Review of The 'Burbs (1989) by Ryan V — 11 Oct 2011
I can't exactly figure out why, but this is one of my favorite movies. It cant fully commit to being a horror film or a comedy. Then again, that's typical Joe Dante. Still, watching Hanks, Dern, and Ducommun play the three stooges while investigating their odd neighbors is a blast.
Carrie Fischer is great as Hanks' flabbergasted wife and Corey Feldman does what he did best: playing a spaced out and irreverent, wiseass kid.
