Review of The Buddy Holly Story (1978) by James H — 07 Mar 2010
81/100. Gary Busey's performance certainly contributes a lot to the success to this film. The music of Buddy Holly is given loving tribute, and such superb and groundbreaking music it is. The film has a nice flair for the period detail of the time, it's evident an effort was made.
Good sound and art direction, superb score. Charlie Martin Smith is great as one of the Crickets.
