Review of The Bucket List (2007) by Tomas T — 05 Mar 2011
In Bucket List two utter strangers with stark contrast between their backgrounds have one thing common, both are terminally ill from cancer. It is a start of an incredible journey and friendship between the two men, as before their unevitable deaths they decide to fullfill together a long wish list of must do things in life.
The plot is simple but works rather well for a "feel-good" movie. The main actors pull veteranish roles as two boyish old men set out to fullfill their dreams. The movie deals with some very basic and important questions about life. The approach the movie takes towards these questions is very relaxed and even carefree making it tad too shallow in my books. This does not render the movie bad, it is still entertaining and fun, just do not expect anything life changing from Bucket List.
