Review of The Bucket List (2007) by Jamie I — 26 Jun 2016
During their stay in the hospital, Carter (Morgan Freeman) begins The Bucket List which is a list of everything he wants to do before he dies. Carter tosses the list; Edward (Jack Nicholson) finds the list and adds to it.
And since they're both about to die, Edward, with a vast amount of wealth, finances their list. There are some laughs along the way. This is not a rolling in the aisles kind of film. The funniest part (and I'm sure I'm not the only one who though so) was when Carter divulges the truth about Edward's favorite coffee.
That was hilarious. Sean Hayes is great as Thomas/Tom/Tommy (aka "Matthew sounded too biblical"). I think though if you go see this you shouldn't expect to leave the theater dry eyed.
The beginning is quite depressing too. This wasn't the greatest movie in the world nor the worst. It's good for what it is.
