Review of The Bucket List (2007) by Dave M — 11 Feb 2013
I gotta say that Morgan Freeman was the only stand-out in this mediocre movie. Nicholson just seemed to be dragged along and wasn't as into defining his role as much as he did in say The Departed. The pacing felt off because for the first 45 minutes the audience gets treated to chemotherapy which is about as much fun as having chemotherapy.
Then it's time for Da Bucket List, but I'd kind of already stopped caring. Plus, there's only about one scene when I actually laughed so for the most part the snappy witty dialogue that I'd been expecting was never there.
Not a terrible film but a disappointing one. Henceforth... I do not recommend Da Bucket List.
