Review of The Brown Bunny (2003) by Andrew S — 12 Jun 2007
I admit it, I watched this one for "the scene". I knew it was towards the end so I decided to wait, and man oh man, what a wait it was. You get to watch this creep Vincent Gallo drive through entire cities, literally entire cities.
Once that's done with, you get to watch him meet one of his old girlfriends as they talk about really dumb shit, occasionally fight, whatever, it doesn't even really matter because that's not what you're watching it for now is it? So once you finally get to the final scene with Chloe Sevigny (and I'm a big American Psycho fan so much excitement from me!), it's really not good.
At all. She kind of just puts her mouth there and doesn't move a lot. Considering I waited through long shots that make some in Van Sant's "Gerry" look entertaining, this was still a huge let down.
So he finishes, she puts her clothes back on, and you get to stare at Vincent Gallo's package for like 30 seconds. Fuck you Vincent. Fuck you.
