You've got to give Terry Gilliam credit for his vision, but The Brothers Grimm is one of those movies that just doesn't work no matter how much Gilliam flare you throw at it - and there's a lot of Gilliam in this movie.

All the concepts were there, but somewhere between the screenplay and the screen, The Brothers Grimm became a hot mess of plot holes and disenchantment. Too serious to be entertaining and too entertaining to be serious, the movie is just in bad taste.
