What a horrible waste of resources. Why was this even made? Was this a tax write-off? Overall the movie is simply too ugly to look at. The CG is embarrassing. The cast is made up of relatively talented people who aren't allowed to be relatively talented.
Everyone - I mean everyone! - chews up the scenery to where there's nothing left but sawdust. I blame Terry Gilliam as he was the one with the power to say, "Don't act, just mug." Why did all these Germans have British accents? The story (there was a story?!) didn't entertain me or enthrall me.
And what was with the casual animal cruelty? I can't think of one positive thing to say about this muddy, murky, humorless, lifeless waste of my precious time.
