Review of The Brothers Bloom (2008) by Sölvi E — 20 Sep 2012
The Brothers Bloom caper film written and directed by Rian Johnson. Starring Mark Ruffalo, Adrien Brody, Rachel Weisz.
Brody and Ruffalo are orphaned brothers, con artists from an early age. Their final job is adorable clumsy millionairess Rachel Weisz, she has collected several hobbies of B-boying, juggling, violin, banjo, skateboarding etc. She joins them in excitedly, even after hearing about their real-identity of being world's most famous con-artists.
Performance is surprising, I have always loved watching Mark Ruffalo (he is one of my favorite actors), he dives into the character and makes us realize his potential to get dramatic whenever he wants to be. Here I must mentioned my beloved Rachel Weisz, she looks cute and darling (as always), some actresses bother me with failure attempts to give bubbly and jolly image, but in case of Weisz things are smooth and lovely. Though very lengthy in its duration, this does seem clever in all its tricks and cons.
