The moment you lose interest in whatever mundane quality or exercise a character has/is undergone/going you're just as suddenly taken aback by the broad yet subtle beauty of Cronenberg's ambient, but still dense, horrifying but still completely real direction.
Not to mention, eerie as fuck.
