Much of this was too slow and plodding, but it's worth sitting through for the big climactic reveal and the criticism of cult thought. This was a very personal film for Cronenberg, and it shows. This is a disturbing film that gets under your skin, subtle & intelligent, the kind of thing Cronenberg is very good at.
