Review of The Broadway Melody (1929) by Jay N — 11 Nov 2009
Winner of the 1930 Oscar for best picture, and the first "talkie" musical ever made. This is a good movie. I enjoyed the plot, and if it was a bit melodramatic, then I'm willing to forgive it.
A much more enjoyable experience than I thought it would be.
