Review of The Brink's Job (1978) by Knut D — 16 Jun 2009
A whimsical heist flick with serious undertones from master director William Friedkin. This movie is based on an actual Boston robbery that took place in 1950. It stars Peter Falk, Peter Boyle, Warren Oates and Paul Sorvino. The whole cast is spot on and Warren Oates and Peter Boyle truly shines in this movie. Why this film received so poor reviews is beyond me. It's an extremely enjoyable caper film with great characters and stunning cinematography.
This should be considered as an American classic.
