Review of The Bridge on the River Kwai (1957) by Spencer D — 13 Mar 2008
Awe-some. Alec Guiness is a revelation as the imbodiment of the British "stiff upper lip" military doctrine, and everyone else does a terrific and convincing job. The characters arcs are something to strive for, and the climax is one of the best in cinema.
Even if you're not a fan of war movies (me neither), I highly recommend it.
