Review of The Bridge on the River Kwai (1957) by Stefan K — 13 Oct 2008
I don't know. So this is pretty much a sonata form, coda and all, put to movie. And some finales are worth suffering the extended boredom leading up to them. But, honestly, I found this one just painful to sit through.
And Guinness acting bordering so much onto, though never outright crossing into, parody, that I found it impossible to care for him.
