Review of The Brides of Dracula (1960) by Private U — 05 Nov 2008
Ok so some people might be put off that Christopher Lee's not in this one but it's a truly great Hammer classic. Cushing's back as Van Helsing in his most heroic form on film (in my humble opinion) and the baddie in chief, dare I say it, actually has more charm and evil than Lee! This is quite possibly due to the fact that Lee barely had anything to do other than point, hiss and chase! The Baron Meinster is a great character to watch and we get a couple of tasty vampire brides in there too - mmm nice! Highly recommended.
