Review of The Brides of Dracula (1960) by Jamie P — 09 Oct 2010
Some daft bird ends up at a spooky castle populated by a crazy old dear and a man chained up. She lets the man free. Turns out he's a foppish vampire bastard.
Van Helsing and his dapper wardrobe turn up and save the day.
Cushing keeps it entertaining but its a pretty bloodless entry in the hammer series. Good death by windmill scene though. And it turns out you can cure a vampire bite with a hot poker to the neck and a splash of the old holy water.
the brides just seem to stand about looking dim. No actual Dracula either.
