This is actually a very good description of the movie. Bette Davis is my favorite actress and James Cagney is my favorite actor, so I was primed to love this film. Unfortunately, I generally do not enjoy screwball comedies.
And this was probably one of the worst screwball comedies I have ever seen. But that is neither Davis' nor Cagney's fault. As always they did a stellar job, unlike the script writers.
