Review of The Breakfast Club (1985) by Matt M — 12 Jan 2013
A teenage angst movie as good as you will ever get. This memorable and age defining teenage comedy drama is signed by undisputed master of the genre, John Hughes. The film follows a group of different teenagers in detention sharing secrets about their lives and their views on the world in general, alienating themselves from the real world for a while, knowing they could never have been friends in any other setting due to their difference in social classes but understanding each other in the process.
Who knew detention could be so much fun! Witty dialogues with memorable one liners and sexual tension that could be cut with a knife, this classic with timeless appeal starred the stellar cast known as the Brat Pack.
