Review of The Break-Up (2006) by Dean H — 29 Aug 2010
Just terrible, unfunny supposed 'romantic-comedy' that is such a massive contradiction on itself. The characters are dumb and their actions even stupider. What sane person breaks up with someone so as to get them back? He deserved it, he treated her like an obnoxious uncaring loser.
This was so unrealistic, then after how badly he treated her she still wanted him back, completely removed from any reality. Judy Davis and Jason Bateman were way too good for this and Jon Favreau's character was, I think, meant to be funny and not bordering on a creepy disturbed freak.
Do not waste your time watching this, you'll hate yourself afterwards for doing it...
