Review of The Break-Up (2006) by Paul E — 05 Jun 2013
People I know who like Vince Vaughn REALLY like him. I'm not one of them. I think if I had to spend more than five minutes in a room with any one of his characters, I'd run screaming into the night. That's why I put off seeing The Break-Up; I was pretty sure I would hate Vaughn's character. And I did. Jennifer Aniston is gorgeous and plays a typical Aniston character; I found her pretty exasperating, too. I really couldn't wait for these two to split for good - the arguing got old fast.
However, there were enough nice moments and mild laughs to make it worth seeing. Vaughn even manages to redeem himself somewhat by movie's end.
