This movie has some really good ideas.
But the script is fucking awful. At one point, one of the cops assisting Howard says "He has a rap sheet longer than my dick".
Does that ugly bit of pointless crudity remind you of anything?
Yeah, it's taken straight, word for word, from one of the most pointless, ugly, crude movies of all time, Basic Instinct.
Why do I remember it? Because when I watched that piece of shit Basic Instinct, I remember thinking, "What a terrible line.".
The script is really bad. When Howard pulls up at a crime scene he actually says "Looks like the circus is in town".
COME ON MAN. WTF? Neil Jordan you are way better than cheeseball, cliches like that.
The film is interesting and the cinematography is well done. The acting is pretty great.
I enjoyed it over all, but god, what a fucking terrible script.
