Jodie Foster delivers a great performance in this enjoyable thriller. Terrence howard just seems too emotionally touched by everything and about to break into tears given the slightest provocation which is just a tad unlikely for a veteran cop.
There are a lot of contrived situations which I overlooked in favour of the very strong characterization in the movie. As a 'revenge genre' movie this is much better than most.
