Review of The Brave Little Toaster (1987) by Trevor R — 03 Apr 2013

One of my very favorite animated films, with amazing characters, funny writing, and a real, genuine sense of danger. It's the latter that sticks with me-- this isn't a pleasant little kids flick that children will watch over and over every day; this is a powerful, emotional experience with real stakes and real drama.

Not to say that kids won't enjoy it, because the genius of "The Brave Little Toaster" is how universal the story is. It also has Phil Hartman doing a Jack Nicholson impression while playing a talking air conditioner, so it's basically the best movie ever.

So, so, so good.
