Review of The Boys in the Band (1970) by Tara G — 27 Dec 2009
I have just finished watching this movie on youtube. My mother explained this movie to me a few years ago, she stated she enjoyed it when she had seen it in the past. She wanted me to watch it because she assumed I would like it.
Today I had searched on youtube to see if it was posted, and yes it is. I enjoy the movie a lot. The performances are great; I had assumed this movie would have won an award or two. As well as an actor (especially Kenneth Nelson who portrayed Michael).
But my mother told me, "no awards". Overall, a well written storyline including hilarious, witty dialogue and a few dramatic scenes.; but deep down there was much more to these characters. I would not mind watching the movie again.
