Review of The Boys Are Back (2009) by Michael S — 10 Jan 2010
It's refreshing to see Clive Owen take on such a soft role. The Boys are Back deals with a father trying to forge connections with his two sons and go on with life after the death of his wife. Set in Australia, the beautiful scenery sets the stage for a heartwarming, yet slightly chaotic venture into single parenthood and plays out masterfully.
This film is definitely a diamond in the rough of what will probably be an unseen and underapreciated film. I sincerely believe that this is one of the best films that I have seen in a long time!
